Work in Portugal 2025 — Online Job and Information Fair

The 6th edition ofWork in Portugal will take place on November 4 and 5, as an online recruitment and information event organized by IEFP, within the activities of EURES – European Employment Services, and this year in collaboration with FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia and the EURAXESS network for researcher mobility.

With a special focus on innovation- and knowledge-intensive activities, this edition aims to promote Portugal as a destination to live, work, and conduct research, offering opportunities to foreign citizens, whether resident in Portugal or not, and addressing the talent needs of Portuguese companies.

Recruitment Areas

More than 20 Portuguese companies (with new registrations still open) will be available to talk to candidates about opportunities in:

  • Information Technology

  • Engineering (civil, mechanical, industrial, among others)

  • Nanotechnology and MedTech

  • Biotechnology, Biomedical, and Pharmaceutical

  • Renewable and Green Energy

  • Industry (metalworking, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, etc.)

2025 Highlight: Research and Mobility

Thanks to the collaboration with the EURAXESS network, the program includes sessions dedicated to research mobility support, such as FCT Mobility Grants and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, aimed at researchers and highly qualified professionals.

Program and Activities

During the event (in English), participants will be able to:

  • Make direct contacts with employers via chat and video call;

  • Participate in recruitment interviews (until November 8);

  • Obtain information and guidance on:

    • Living and working conditions in Portugal

    • Learning the Portuguese language

    • Recognition of academic and professional qualifications

    • Mobility and return-to-Portugal support

  • Attend presentations and thematic panels by companies and partner entities;

  • Learn stories of Europeans who have chosen Portugal as a professional and life destination.
